Sisters-in-law Chandro (Bhumi Pednekar) and Prakashi (Taapsee Pannu) are used to a patriarchal way of life and the chauvinistic men of their household. They take up shooting in their 60s after having spent several decades working in the fields, bearing babies, and performing neverending household chores. With the help of their shooting instructor Dr. Yashpal (Vineet Singh), Chandro and Prakashi hone their skills.

The shooter daadis manage to keep the men at home in the dark. But when they begin to pass on their knowledge to the next generations, they realize that nothing has changed for women all these years. The men in the household are still vehemently opposed to accepting the talent of their women.

‘Saand Ki Aankh’ tries to be more than just a sports movie, making a socio-cultural comment on women empowerment and gender equality. But the trouble is that the storyline oscillates between the present and flashbacks, and it takes too long to tell its tale and state its message.
